Banana Bread

Ingredients

Banana 3 (~30 g)
Butter 115 g
Sugar 100 g
Brown sugar 100 g
Egg 1 (large)
Vanilla extract 5 ml
Flour 200 g
Baking soda 5 g
Salt ~1 g (small pinch)
Chocolate chips ~100 g

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 160° - 175°C.
  2. Mash the bananas in a large bowl.
  3. Melt the butter.
  4. Add melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla extract into the mashed bananas. Stir until well combined.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Stir gently until just combined. Don’t overmix.
  7. Add in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into the container and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
  10. Cool for about 10 minutes before slicing.

Tips

  • Use large and ripe bananas
